Engineering Green

Green energy and sustainable buildings are a constant design goal for many professionals in the building design and construction industry. According to the Solar Energy Industries Associate (SEIA) the United States has installed approximately 2 Giga Watts of solar photovoltaics in Q1 of 2017. This brings the total watts of solar photovoltaics installed to approximately 45 Giga Watts in the United States. The use of photovoltaics to produce electricity is a growing industry that provides clean electricity for homes, businesses and communities throughout the world. Many photovoltaic installations provide localized electricity generation to off-set the use of utility electricity. (

A New Space for LKPB Engineers

We’re making big strides towards the last step in our rebranding process at LKPB Engineers; the lease has been signed for our new office space in the Twin Cities! It’s in Northeast Minneapolis, just 2.7 miles from our current location. An 8450sf space in the southwest wing of the 6th floor at Broadway Ridge Office Center, with a great view of Downtown! More important than the location, is the choice of this building over many others and finally the design process to create the most productive, integrated space possible.
