Community

Our team cares about our clients, and we also care about giving back to our community. LKPB Engineers is committed to serving the communities that have helped shape who we are as a firm. Through a variety of volunteer initiatives, we strive to support our neighbors and share our passion for engineering. Here are just a few of the organizations we partner with:

  • Habitat for Humanity. LKPB staff regularly volunteer with Habitat for Humanity to build, rehabilitate, and repair homes in our community.

  • Canstruction. Canstruction is a national charity that was conceived and coordinated by the Society of Design Administration more than 25 years ago. For this annual event, we use donated canned goods to create imaginative structures as a way to tackle hunger in our communities. At the end of each event, all food is donated to local hunger relief organizations.

  • ACEC/MN Scholarship Fund Softball Tournament. The ACEC/MN awards scholarships to students based on leadership skills, school involvement, community activities, work experience, academic achievement, and their understanding of the consulting engineering profession. We are proud to participate in their annual Scholarship Fund Softball Tournament to raise money and help young leaders get their start in the engineering field.

  • MATHCOUNTS. MATHCOUNTS is a national math enrichment program for middle school students, and the local chapter is coordinated by members of the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers. MATHCOUNTS focuses on making math achievement exciting and challenging in order to stimulate student interest. Through volunteering at MATHCOUNTS competitions, we hope to share our passion for engineering with the next generation of engineers.
